Romans 9:1-4

God's Sovereign Choice

¹ _a I am speaking the truth in Christ - I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit - ² that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. ³ For _b I could wish that I myself were _c accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, ₁ my kinsmen _d according to the flesh. ⁴ They are _e Israelites, and to them belong _f the adoption, _g the glory, _h the covenants, _i the giving of the law, _j the worship, and _k the promises.
