The Temptation of Jesus

¹ _s Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness _t to be tempted by the devil. ² And after fasting _u forty days and forty nights, he _v was hungry. ³ And _w the tempter came and said to him, "If you are _x the Son of God, command _y these stones to become loaves of bread."

⁴ But he answered, _z "It is written,
_a "'Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
