Jeremiah 23:9-11

Lying Prophets

⁹ Concerning the prophets:
_h My heart is broken within me;
_i all my bones shake;
I am like a drunken man,
like a man overcome by wine,
because of the Lord
and because of his holy words.
¹⁰ _j For the land is full of adulterers;
_k because of the curse _l the land mourns,
and _m the pastures of the wilderness are dried up.
_n Their course is evil,
and their might is not right.
¹¹ _o "Both prophet and priest are ungodly;
even _p in my house I have found their evil,
declares the Lord.
