⁸ Therefore _q do not be ashamed of _r the testimony about our Lord, nor of _s me his prisoner, but _t share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, ⁹ _u who saved us and _v called us to ₁ a holy calling, _w not because of our works but because of _v his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus _x before the ages began, ₂
