1 Peter 3:19-22

Suffering for Righteousness' Sake

¹⁹ in which ₁ he went and _q proclaimed ₂ to the spirits in prison, ²⁰ because ₃ they formerly did not obey, _r when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, _s while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, _t eight persons, were brought safely through water. ²¹ Baptism, which corresponds to this, _u now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but _v as an appeal to God for a good conscience, _w through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who has gone into heaven and _x is at the right hand of God, _y with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
