It is God who avenges me, And subdues the peoples under me;
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?
I will sing a new song to You, O God; On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,

He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.
"But from a branch of her roots one shall arise in his place, who shall come with an army, enter the fortress of the king of the North, and deal with them and prevail.
"However his sons shall stir up strife, and assemble a multitude of great forces; and one shall certainly come and overwhelm and pass through; then he shall return to his fortress and stir up strife.
Then the channels of the sea were seen, The foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O LORD, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, "Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things."
In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.
You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.
