Ask a QuestionSo He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake.
"A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.
and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.
Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, "Lord, I will follow You wherever You go."
So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
"And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!"
And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, "This man was also with Him."
Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you."
"For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.
"that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
"Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' "
"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
"And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed.
"When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he drew near to observe, the voice of the Lord came to him,
"Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?"
And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem.
Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
"Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.
