Naomi and Ruth Return
Now the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that v all the city was excited because of them; and the women said, w "Is this Naomi?"
But she said to them, "Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.
"I went out full, x and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?"
So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. Now they came to Bethlehem y at the beginning of barley harvest.

And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, "Who is this?
Is this your joyous city, Whose antiquity is from ancient days, Whose feet carried her far off to dwell?
All who pass by clap their hands at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem: " Is this the city that is called 'The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth'?
And he said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.
So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz, to glean until the end of barley harvest and wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother-in-law.

And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the hill before the LORD. So they fell, all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
