Let No One Disqualify You
So let no one u judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
v which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
and not holding fast to w the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, x grows with the increase that is from God.
Therefore, if you y died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, z why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations -
a "Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,"
which all concern things which perish with the using - b according to the commandments and doctrines of men?
c These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head - Christ -
Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Romans 6:2 - 5
Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world.
But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
1 Timothy 4:3
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men.
And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
1 Timothy 4:8
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
