The Lord's Mercy Remembered
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD
And the praises of the LORD,
According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us,
And the great goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies,
According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.
For He said, "Surely they are My people,
Children who will not lie."
So He became their Savior.
g In all their affliction He was afflicted,
h And the Angel of His Presence saved them;
i In His love and in His pity He redeemed them;
And j He bore them and carried them
All the days of old.
But they k rebelled and l grieved His Holy Spirit;
m So He turned Himself against them as an enemy,
And He fought against them.
Then he n remembered the days of old,
Moses and his people, saying:
"Where is He who o brought them up out of the sea
With the shepherd of His flock?
p Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them,
Who led them by the right hand of Moses,
q With His glorious arm,
r Dividing the water before them
To make for Himself an everlasting name,
s Who led them through the deep,
As a horse in the wilderness,
That they might not stumble?"
As a beast goes down into the valley,
And the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest,
So You lead Your people,
t To make Yourself a glorious name.

So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.
And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.
The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples.
You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.
And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?
Then the LORD said to Moses: "How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?
How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!
You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.
1 Corinthians 10:1 - 11
Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea.
Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.
Therefore the wrath of the LORD was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance.
Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry.
And for their sake He remembered His covenant, And relented according to the multitude of His mercies.
So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.
Then the LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.
Then Moses said to him, "Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the LORD's people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!
' According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!'
Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
That the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
The LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, And strike it in the seven streams, And make men cross over dry-shod.
Are You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over?
He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; So He led them through the depths, As through the wilderness.
2 Samuel 7:23
And who is like Your people, like Israel, the one nation on the earth whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a name - and to do for Yourself great and awesome deeds for Your land - before Your people whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, the nations, and their gods?
