Hezekiah's Prayer for Deliverance
And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

"Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their i lands,
"and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were j not gods, but the work of men's hands - wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them.
"Now therefore, O LORD our God, k save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may l know that You are the LORD, You alone."

I, even I, am the LORD, And besides Me there is no savior.
2 Chronicles 6:40
Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayer made in this place.
I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech.
O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.
Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.

Whoever is too impoverished for such a contribution Chooses a tree that will not rot; He seeks for himself a skillful workman To prepare a carved image that will not totter.
(For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us).
