My Soul Thirsts for You
Hear my prayer, O LORD,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.
Do not enter into judgment with Your servant,
a For in Your sight no one living is righteous.
For the enemy has persecuted my soul;
He has crushed my life to the ground;
He has made me dwell in darkness,
Like those who have long been dead.
b Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me;
My heart within me is distressed.
c I remember the days of old;
I meditate on all Your works;
I muse on the work of Your hands.
I spread out my hands to You;
d My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah
Answer me speedily, O LORD;
My spirit fails!
Do not hide Your face from me,
e Lest I be like those who go down into the pit.
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness f in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
g Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For h I lift up my soul to You.
Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies;
In You I take shelter.
i Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
j Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in k the land of uprightness.
l Revive me, O LORD, for Your name's sake!
For Your righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
In Your mercy m cut off my enemies,
And destroy all those who afflict my soul;
For I am Your servant.

I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah
I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times.
And I said, "This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.
I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
O GOD, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.
To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.
To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, And did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, And gave them water for their thirst.
Let grace be shown to the wicked, Yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, And will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word.
