Moses Forbidden to Enter the Land
"And I pleaded with the Lord at that time, saying,
'O Lord God, you have only begun to show your servant n your greatness and your mighty hand. For o what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as yours?
Please let me go over and see p the good land beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and q Lebanon.'
But r the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the Lord said to me, s 'Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again.
t Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and look at it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.
But u charge Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he shall go over at the head of this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land that you shall see.'
So we remained in v the valley opposite Beth-peor.

And you said, 'Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man, and man still live.
And consider today (since I am not speaking to your children who have not known or seen it), consider the discipline of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand and his outstretched arm.

1 Chronicles 29:11

Numbers 27:12 - 13
The Lord said to Moses, "Go up into this mountain of Abarim and see the land that I have given to the people of Israel.
Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall enter. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
The Lord your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations before you, so that you shall dispossess them, and Joshua will go over at your head, as the Lord has spoken.
Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it.
And he laid his hands on him and commissioned him as the Lord directed through Moses.
Beyond the Jordan in the valley opposite Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the people of Israel defeated when they came out of Egypt.
And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but no one knows the place of his burial to this day.
