d Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him e Peter and John and James and f went up on the mountain to pray.
And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was g altered, and h his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah,
who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
Now Peter and those who were with him i were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake j they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him.
And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here. Let us make three k tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah" - l not knowing what he said.
As he was saying these things, m a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
And m a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, n my Chosen One; o listen to him!"
And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. p And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.

After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.
As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.
Covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.
And when he had spoken to me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face to the ground. But he touched me and made me stand up.
And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
And that they should proclaim it and publish it in all their towns and in Jerusalem, "Go out to the hills and bring branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make booths, as it is written.
For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.
And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.

For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
Exodus 24:15 - 16
Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!
Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.
You have said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant:
Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.
Moses said, 'The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you.
And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Tell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.
