Mary's Song of Praise: The Magnificat
And Mary said,
y "My z soul a magnifies the Lord,
b and my z spirit rejoices in c God my Savior,
for d he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations e will call me blessed;
for f he who is mighty g has done great things for me,
and h holy is his name.
And i his mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
j He has shown strength with his arm;
k he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
j he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
l and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled m the hungry with good things,
and the rich n he has sent away empty.
He has o helped p his servant Israel,
q in remembrance of his mercy,
r as he spoke to our fathers,
q to Abraham and to his offspring forever."
And Mary remained with her about three months and returned to her home.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord ; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord ; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

And she vowed a vow and said, "O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
The right hand of the Lord exalts, the right hand of the Lord does valiantly!
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord ; awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon?
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

And he said to me, "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
