The Restoration of Jacob
n For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and o will set them in their own land, and p sojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob.
And q the peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the Lord's land r as male and female slaves. s They will take captive those who were their captors, t and rule over those who oppressed them.

You will arise and have pity on Zion; it is the time to favor her; the appointed time has come.
Cry out again, Thus says the Lord of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.'

Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Thus says the Lord God : "Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
For the coastlands shall hope for me, the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your children from afar, their silver and gold with them, for the name of the Lord your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has made you beautiful.
And they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations as an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord.
Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers.
I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a nation far away, for the Lord has spoken.
The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending low to you, and all who despised you shall bow down at your feet; they shall call you the City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
