The peculiarity of the question is "is". Was Jesus a zombie? A normal meaningful question. Given normal definition: Zombie: A frightening creature that is dead who has been brought back to life, without human qualities. The gospel portrays resurrected Jesus exhibiting behaviours contrary to this. Jesus answered the doubts of Thomas. If the resurrected Jesus was a zombie, the Romans and Jews should have recorded it. The term zombie is far-fetched in the context of resurrected Jesus.
No, Jesus is not a zombie. His resurrection wasn’t a horror story; it was the triumph over death itself, the very hope of the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:20). This verse tells us in the New English Translation (NET), "But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." And then the author, Paul, goes on to say, in the NET Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 which reads: 21 "For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. 22 For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive". So the true Christian will not be a zombie either because he will be like Christ with a new resurrected (glorified) body.
