John 10:17-18

I Am the Good Shepherd

¹⁷ _w For this reason the Father loves me, _x because _y I lay down my life that I may take it up again. ¹⁸ _z No one takes it from me, but _y I lay it down _a of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and _b I have authority to take it up again. _c This charge I have received from my Father."
