Moses Makes New Tablets

⁶ The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, _d "The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and _e gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast _f love and faithfulness, ⁷ _g keeping steadfast love for thousands, _{1 h} forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but _i who will by no means clear the guilty, _j visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation." ⁸ And Moses quickly _k bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.
