I don't know if anyone can answer that exactly as we don't really know and the Bible doesn't tell us, but I built a small cross for our summer vacation Bible school a couple of years ago and I did some research on it at the time. The weight was substantial and could have weighed in total as much as 300 lbs. It was, as I remember, about 14 feet long with a cross bar of about 6 feet. If it was set in the ground about 4 feet deep, his feet would have only been about 4 feet above the ground. All speculation, but I hope it helps. God Bless
