And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me."
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.
Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
And Zacharias said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years."
"Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among people."
(as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the LORD"),
And Jesus answered and said to him, "It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "
After these things He went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me."
"Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves;
But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls.
"Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God.
And again He said, "To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?
"and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." '
"And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
"Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
"And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'
