Psalm 131

I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul

1 LORD, my heart is not 1 haughty,
Nor my eyes 2 lofty.
a Neither do I 3 concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too 4 profound for me.
2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
b Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 c O Israel, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever.
