How does knowing that God planned our redemption before creation encourage us in our pursuit of holiness? How does placing our faith and hope in God empower us to live differently?
Read 1 Peter 1:20-21. Jesus was chosen before the foundation of the world but revealed for our sake. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you 21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
1 Peter 1:13 - 25
NLT - 13 So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. 14 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.

Look to the cross of Christ to see God's love for you. If you see that truth (The Light), you will desire to return your love for Him because of what He did for you.
