It seems that in today’s world that no one especially Christians just don’t care when the subject is someone reaching out for help and understanding. They all say,” I will pray for you”, and that’s about the extent of it. Considering the answer is prayer and they are clearly in a position to do much more but just want and don’t. I just do not understand why.

In today’s society so many churches have become seeker sensitive as not to offend anyone. No substance and a lot of fluff. The fast food society that we have allowed to happen doesn’t allow for love, kindness, or interaction with one another. We have become cold and hard and at times non caring. We need to take a step back and return to our first love, Jesus. Get the joy of the Lord back into our sights. We are empowered to do so much more than we are doing, we must start loving and liking ourselves again. Be determined that we can and will make the difference, and make an impact on those around us for the good of God. Christians should make a habit of loving, giving, and caring seven days a week, with that attitude how can we not be happy.
This question envelops the sad decay of the church world today. Not to say there are a few Saints that are still holding up the Blood stained Banner of Jesus Christ, but sadly they are few and far between. Their church signs say one thing, their bulletins say something else, but their lives are outrageous. God said His people were to come out from among the world and be separated. Go to a public auditorium and ask how many are Christians? Do they look any different? God hates our nakedness. But that is just outside looks, what about the inside... Sit in church with someone, hear the same Word preached, you may have both said Amen... walk out and refuse to speak to one another, over something petty. Jesus told the last church in Revelations chapter 3, you think you are so good, you have need of nothing, but I tell you,... you are wretched, blind, naked, and you don't even know it! (Paraphrased) Jesus was talking not just to a literal church, but to a church age. We are in the Laodician church age. Apathy and blindness have crept into our churches as a whole; God, the Bible, the Blood of Jesus, True Repentance.... have been pushed out the back door as too harsh, and too bloody, we have children in the audience.. Jesus is coming back very soon! However, He is only coming for those that are alive and remaining. Alive in Him, and remaining fresh at His altar! Paul said I die daily. Die to what? That thing inside of us that makes us want to turn from Jesus. We must run to His Cross daily and admit we are blind, miserable, and need Him. Jesus can and will restore us. 1 Chro 7:14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,... Be Blessed, Lena
A great question for our confused times and I humbly submit for your consideration a few thoughts on the matter. Without too much resistance from Christendom or the sleeping general public things have been permitted to spiral downward for sometime. So why don't some seem to care today; "To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction" Sir Isaac Newton There is the very real fear of asset lost and soul crushing weaponized litigation via the prosecutorial Mandarins and their assorted agents of social justice. Simply stated; Secular Leftism at it's core is pure rebellion against the order and balance of God's standards. (Ezekiel 28:13; Isaiah 46:10; Micah 2:1; Jeremiah 23:1) Consider: "I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people." Sir Isaac Newton Who defines what constitutes “hate speech” and just who gave private big tech companies the power to decide what we may hear or see; The Left, of course. California assembly bill 2943 bans books, conferences, counseling advocating Muslim, Jewish, and Christian views on gender and sexual orientation The California Assembly approved this bill today 50-18 that tells churches and others with traditional beliefs about gender and sexual orientation that advocating for their religious views (WILL) get them sued. Of course the "religion of peace" will get a pass on this [as they will hurt people, if they don't] Coincidentally in the back ground California is still broke and has just recorded the hottest July and the largest fire in it's history? President meets with some black pastors on prison reform which is pontificated to be true evil and vilified by the offended revered state liberal black clergy. Bottom Line; The pervasive adage that no one cares; the real problem is people are not permitted or allowed to assist, unless they are approved by the state's assorted Mandarins. Least some unprofessional types offend or reveal some common sense truth to those requiring assistance! (Galatians 4:16; Ecclesiastes 1:15; 3 John 1:8) The real miracle is; that there are any warriors willing to step into the gap of battle, knowing full well society's seemingly lack of support plus the assorted costs in general. Prayer is the most powerful weapon that a warrior can wield, for we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, so be of good courage. (Zechariah 10:5; 1 Samuel 17:45) If Christians are unwilling or fail to defend principles, themselves or the innocent. How will any lost souls or eternal adolescents realize any saving truth? What has happened is a natural consequence of plurality and choice. Today, we are forced to live in a world in which we can easily choose between worldviews (contingent on the political institutions in which we live in). There are so many religions, sects, idols, and other distractions in which we can choose to commit (or not) with little recourse. With the rise of modernity and pluralism, we are often found between the two extremes--fundamentalism and secular relativism. The Church has needed to adapt to these changes by either loosening up requirements for membership to the Church to attract more members or tightening the requirements and excluding members who are not "all in". Moreover, a strong voicing of your convictions can be socially costly if it involves an interaction with someone who is not of your faith. Considering the law of large numbers, as mentioned, most people will find themselves in the middle of this ideological distribution. In the middle, people are tepid, lukewarm in their convictions. As all the perspectives offer a vast array of versions of the truth, they are doubtful. What we find is that people don't care. Their actions are mediocre. Their praise is bland. In the end, God will judge. In the meantime, Christians must continue to tote the line, but use Christ as our model.
