When God forgives our sin, He does not hold it against us nor does He even remember it ever again (see Isaiah 43:25). The enemy likes to remind us of past sins to bring us into condemnation because he knows condemnation will rob us of our joy, victory and peace. 1 John 1:0: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We have the responsibility to forgive ourselves and to refuse to dwell on the failures of the past. Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit. There is no believer who does not miss it from time to time. We are all sinners saved by grace, which is why we need a Savior (Jesus). In those instances and when we sin, God gave us 1John 1:9. But, the one who has knowledge of the truth and deliberately chooses to live in a lifestyle of repeated sin knowing that it is contrary to God's Word, incurs the danger of searing their own conscience and falling from grace. However, as long as a person endeavors to live a life pleasing to God and asks for forgiveness when they sin, they are maintaining fellowship with God. Those who are in danger of backsliding are those who sin willfully with no sense of remorse and no attitude of repentance for their deeds. The more you "catch" yourself sinning, repent immediately, asking God to forgive you and ask Him to help you resist that sin. It's when we sin (knowing that we are sinning) and not asking for forgiveness that will, over a period of time, "numb" our conscience until it becomes obvious that you are continuing in your sin. The Word says we are to repent, "...go and sin no more".

YES! The Lord will forgive you every single time you sin and repent. However…….(Hebrews 12:6) states that the Lord “chastise those whom he love”. Some repeatable sins do not go altogether unpunished (Jeremiah 30:11) the Lord takes all things into consideration the intent of the heart, motive, knowledge of the act etc. Now if you are totally oblivious that you are sinning that’s a different story. James 4:17 says “to him that know to do good and do it not to him it is sin”. So if the sin is deliberate, he will forgive however ten times out of ten a good God whipping of the heart will immediately follow repeated offenders. Trust me… I have invisible stripes across my back, legs and arms from pushing the envelope. Have you ever heard the saying “can’t nobody do you like Jesus” The same cliché applies in chastisement. The Lord will reprimand repeated offenders to a point you would whether for him to get a belt out and whip your legs oppose to the chasing of the heart. Please heed the warning

When Christ died for our sins, it was once and for all. His forgiveness is total and complete and we stand before God as if we had never sinned. Serious thought on the sacrifice that Jesus made and the grace of God to extend his mercy to us and declare us righteous because of accepting Jesus Christs' atoning sacrifice will be obeying God and learning to love him more each day. Focusing on God is the only answer and the only one who we have to face.

Because of what is preached in the pulpit, condemnation, guilt etc we believers ask this same question over and over. Let's look at it realistically. Jesus died over 2000 years ago, before we were born He died for our sins All of our sins were forgiven before we were born. The only unforgivable sin is blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Which is not receiving Christ as savior. Now lets look at scripture; Heb 7:26-27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. NIV Heb 10:10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. NIV The below is not giving permission to sin since we sin without permission but it helps establish our righteousness in Him Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. KJV 2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. KJV With that being said, just move forward and love people and you will do great for the kingdom of heaven

Phillip M. Paul-minister It is true we have a forgiving God. Romans 6:23 tells us that all have sinned, and fall short of His glory. The writer of Hebrews speaks about deliberate sin. In chapter 10:26,27 "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. This warning was given to Jewish Christians who were attempting to reject Jesus for Judaism, and it would also apply to any Christian today that would want to reject Him. Sanctification is a process, we should be growing daily as Christians and becoming more Christ-like. To be like Jesus is to hate sin, but love the sinner.

It is true God will forgive if one comes to him full of remorse. It all depends upon the approach of the person. There must be humility and repentance. This reveals that the person is struggling in his walk with God and he is seeking Gods help to bring these areas in his life that he is battling with under subjection.

God does forgive us of our sins but what if we are doing the same sin over and over willfully? Hebrews 10:26-31 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, We need to speak the truth in love.

Let's be careful here. Very few of us have stopped worrying, lusting, hating etc. These are all repeated sins. Christ did die for all sins past present and future. Everyone's sins were in the future when Christ died for us. Jesus calls us to repent and turn from our sins. The forgiveness issue has already been taken care of. Hebrews 10 is a chapter to the Hebrews about animal sacrifices for the forgiveness of their sins. That's why the judgement is extreme. The Jews heard the truth about total forgiveness through Jesus but kept on sacrificing animals for the forgiveness of their sins. So God said,"29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?" Sin no longer has power over those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 5: Says: 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. We were reconciled but reconciliation is a two way streak. We need to believe in what Christ did for us to close the loop of reconciliation. You cant reconciled with your spouse or friend who forgave you until you accept their forgiveness. In God's eye forgiveness of all sin is a permanent state and He adopts you into His family. No where in the Bible does it say He un-adopts you. Un-Adopt isn't a correct word in any language. Food for thought. Praise God for His amazing grace.

We are definitely saved by grace and not by works (Eph2:8,9). But I love the saying of Todd White which states "Grace isn't a pass for us to sin but the power for us to live the way Jesus did without sin". Amen

As my answer to, you, the person who asked this question, let me start by asking you a question. Who did you ask to forgive you? Was it a friend, your Pastor, the Bible? Or did you ask the One who has the power to forgive you? The same One who can condemn you? Jesus died on the cross to give you the availability to ask for forgiveness. Jesus asked us to repent. What did He want you to repent from? The answer to that question is key to the answer to your question. He asked you, us, to repent from unbelief. We are practicing unbelief when we ignore his commands to us. He told us to sin no more. If we continue to commit the same sin(s) again and again, do we really believe He is who He said He is? Both the one Who can forgive us and the One Who can condemn us eternally? I am not condemning you. Paul himself said he continues to do the things he does not want to do. Maybe the same applies to you. If so, then I believe Jesus/God offers you that same forgiveness over and over. If so, though, then you, like Paul, need to ask Him (Jesus) to help you overcome that sin and I believe He will. But if you continue to sin in blatant disregard for what He wants you to do, then you need to ask yourself are you truly saved and forgiven in the first place then truly repent and determine to live the Way He wants you to! My prayer is you take the next step either way. I believe He wants you to come to Him so he can not only forgive you but wash away those sins so they will no longer place any doubt in your belief.
