e Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials f of various kinds,
for you know that g the testing of your faith h produces steadfastness.
And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be i perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
1 Peter 1:6
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials.
1 Peter 1:7
So that the tested genuineness of your faith - more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire - may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance.
Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
2 Peter 1:6
And knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
