Although I was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church, I wasn’t saved yet, so I don’t think it was real baptism. (See my response under S. Michael Houdmann's answer).

The proponents of infant baptism say that baptism in the new covenant is comparable to circumcision in the old covenant, which was done to infants. Also, they say that household baptisms in the New Testament must have included infants (Acts 16:33). Finally, they claim household promises allow for infant baptism (1 Corinthians 7:14).

However, as Mr. Houdmann said, the meaning of baptism limits it to those who can consciously exercise faith. I, as a baby, could not consciously exercise faith. Finally, I must admit that even though household baptisms do not particularize infants, children may be included (though I do not think they were).
