Psalm 1:1: "Blessed is the man who walks not in the council of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; (vs2) but his delight is in the law of the Lord." Ephesians 5:18,19: "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs...submitting to one another in the fear of God." So, where do we get wise council? In this world we surely need it! Without it we are snared and will surely die! We must ask God to send the Holy Spirit to be with us daily. The Holy Spirit was with Jesus in the wilderness. He will minister to us also when we believe and invite Him. In everything, God is first, always! You perhaps think, He doesn't know! But remember, Jesus walked on the earth, just like we do now. Jesus experienced all the natural struggles that we have. He fought the daily battle, and chose God's way. When we trust Jesus, he gives us the key to unlock the path to eternal life. The Law and the prophets came. Then Jesus brought truth and light. He sent His Spirit to all who will accept it. The wisdom to navigate the path to life has been given. Will you accept the council that He gives? Song of Solomon 3:4: It is intolerable to be without Him, once you have known Him.

Great question! Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in abundance of counselors there is victory. Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel. Proverbs 15:22 Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed. Proverbs 19:20-21 Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days. Many plans are in a man’s heart, But the counsel of the Lord will stand.
