A great question and I humbly submit for your consideration that it's the same one for human kind in general since the garden, packaged today in a satanic ideologically.
Simply stated; Secular Leftism at it's core is pure rebellion against the order and balance of God's standards. (Ezekiel 28:13; Isaiah 46:10; Micah 2:1; Jeremiah 23:1)

Let's examine just one area of this asymmetrical battlefield and the fruit or ideological results of two decisions by the Supreme Court beginning on 25 June 1962 without much resistance from Christendom or the sleeping general public; Engel v. Vitale, the removal of prayer in public schools and then again on 27 February 1963 Abington School District v. Schempp, decided against Bible readings in public schools.
(Isaiah 5:20)

Two leftist decisions; five negative developments in the nation’s public schools:
• Academic achievement has plummeted, including SAT scores, thus graduating students who academically know less than their parents.
• Increased rate of out-of-wedlock births for girls 15-19 years old has tripled.
• Increased illegal drug use and all that accompanies this life style.
• Increased juvenile crime where violence and death are now normal among adolescent skulls full of mush.
• Deterioration of civil school behavior and increased violence requiring security personnel and walk through metal-detectors.

Created on 4 May 1980 the department of education with a $68 billion annual budget and four thousand bureaucrats federalized the nation's education system putting fore it's ideological edicts upon the land of a somewhat free sleeping people.
(Isaiah 14:14; Isaiah 14:17)

Today our public education system has become an ideological gulag where every adversarial crackpot concept is a cause celebre and God given common sense is silenced or banned by the faculty lounge commandos via their PC though policing.
(Isaiah 45:9; Jeremiah 22:13; 2 Corinthians 11:15)

Bottom Line:
Leftism is much like cancer in that it infects or attacks everything it comes into contact with and if not dealt with, in time corrupts and hollows out the healthy until death.

The enemy plan is diabolically simple; appear as not a threat to your intended victims and gain access to their soft interior points exploiting the ever present squishes proclivities with simple baubles. (Matthew 18:7)

Within Christendom some once mainline denominations have bent their knee or prostrated at secular altars and permitted or welcomed all forms of abhorrent pagan abominations to have a home. And much like Elvis the Holy spirit has left the buildings a long time ago. (Deuteronomy 19:14; Deuteronomy 23:18; Psalms 5:4; Zechariah 11:17; 1 Corinthians 6:15)

The church should stand as a bulwark against the dark domain and it's minions; not compromise and surrender without a sound for fear of offending the diametrically opposed delusional emotionalists, which is fashionable in some quarters.
(Isaiah 48:22; Isaiah 57:20; Malachi 3:18)

There was a time if a male did not have the stomach for battle, "they were told to go and sit with the women", we have allowed leftists to remove "healthy shame" from our culture which is not a good thing for any moral society.
Now I have been blessed experiencing warriors who were women with the heart of a lion, who would put to shame many a male, so there is always hope friend.
(Judges 4:9; Judges 4:21; Judges 5:26; Luke 18:8)

In the Lord's freedom....warrior on
