Is the Cross (tree) Jesus was crucified on in some ways symbolic of the Tree of Life?
Could the death and resurrection of Christ be seen as fruit that can continue to grow and multiply to provide Eternal Life?
Revelation 22:2
ESV - 2 Through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
