Isaiah 53:4-6
He Was Wounded for Our Transgressions

Surely e He has borne our 1 griefs
And carried our 2 sorrows;
Yet we 3 esteemed Him stricken,
4 Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5
But He was f wounded 5 for our transgressions,
He was 6 bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His g stripes 7 we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD 8 has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
