Matthew 5:30
30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
I do not think Jesus is advocating any self-harm, but rather commitment, seriousness, and sincerity about fighting our sinful nature. Remove the temptations from our lives.

Malachi 2:15
15Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.Or 15 But the one {who is our father} did not do this, not as long as life remained in him. And what was he seeking? An offspring from God So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.

Malachi 2:17
The Day of Judgment
17You have wearied the LORD with your words.“How have we wearied him?” you ask.By saying, “All who do evil are good in the eyes of the LORD, and he is pleased with them” or “Where is the God of justice?”
People often state that all should be non-judgmental, and that the biggest "sin" is saying what another person is doing is wrong. We should be sure to examine ourselves for similar sins as what we recognize in others, and at the same time realize that those actions are evil. Never should we fall to saying that evil is good because of "judge not lest thou be judged".
