Deuteronomy 7:6
6For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
6For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
'When two men entered into a covenant, they acquired each other's, assets, possessions, and prestige, as well as each other's liabilties, debts, and enemies. A strong, wealthy person had nothing to gain by pledging himself to someone who was weak or poor'. (Rod Parsley) That's the way it is in our relationship with GOD. When you give your life to CHRIST,you enter into a covenant with HIM. If you keep your end of the promise, you acquire HIS likeness, HIS personality, HIS Holiness, HIS possessions, even HIS enemiess. The only thing GOD wants from us is our love; an intimate relationship. What we have to give HIM is sin, hurt, sickness, our hopes and dreams. We, on the other hand acquire forgiveness, deliverance from past hurts, healing, abundant life and the assurance of eternal life with HIM. Sounds like a pretty great deal to me.

As the "WORD" say. 'wisdom and might are HIS'. GOD and GOD only.. knows the times and seasons. He changes the times and seasons. "2008" is a new year. The number 8 means "a new beginning". The number 7 means complete. "2007" is done... completed. And "2008" offers us a new beginning. Make the best of it. If you don't know CHRIST as your SAVIOR, now's the time. If you're backslidden, now's the time to make a new commitment.

1 Chronicles 14:8-10
David Defeats the Philistines
8When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went out to meet them. Before David even made a move against the philistines, he went to GOD and ask GOD what "HIS" will was in this matter. We need to follow David's example. Before one enter's that agreement, relationship, or particular job...go to GOD. Ask HIM if this HIS will for you. Otherwise, you won't be successful or you'll wind up loosing something or someone.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
If you've never given your life to CHRIST, what a wonderful way to start the new year. Or if you've moved away from GOD, now is the time for reconciliation. GOD loves us so much that HE welcomes us back with open arms. All one has to do is repent and ask for forgivness. BAM! You're forgiven, all things are new.....a fresh new start.

God Disciplines His Sons
1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Bookmarked about 1 year ago.
