Matthew 6:19-34
Treasures in Heaven
19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. So many times I find myself worrying about things like how am I going to pay my mortgage, how am I going to pay this bill or that bill. Even worrying about my health. I know these things are essential for living, but if I put God first, He will take care of the rest.

Ephesians 6:10-18
The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. The Whole Armor of God- To many times many of us get caught up in the things of this world. We spend so much energy and time working 10-12 hours a day, wasting our time trying to accomplish things that will only matter in this world (if it matters at all). We need to put our focus on God and live in the Spirit, unseen but most important is our battle against the unseen. We must put on The Whole Armour of God. Any more comments on the text would be great.

Ephesians 6:10
The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. When we feel we can't go on, remember The Lord's Strength is all we need, He can get us through anything. Everyday we should pray that the strength of the Lord fill us and His wisdom guide us to do His will. All for the glory of our Father in Heaven.

1 Thessalonians 5:11
11Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:10,11
10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him .
11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up ...
I was down this weekend because the new job feel through, but when I read the passage above which I know is the truth, which I know is how much my Father in heaven loves me that He would send His only Son down to earth so that I may live, I am encouraged to drag myself off the mat once again to face the giant. Because with JC in my corner, victory is certain, victory is a done deal.

Galatians 3:5
5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?
5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?
The performing of miracles on such a large scale as was the case 2000 years ago, is still possible today. God did not take that away, or lack of faith prevents us from God using us in this way.

Mark 6:13
13They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
13They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
Have you ever stopped to think when the miraculous healings that are referred to in Mark 6:13 stopped and why they stopped?
They didn't, the many spiritual gifts God anointed the twelve that Jesus sent out continued to spread as the Good News spread throughout the world. But slowly, the faith in these miraculous works started fading away as Satan diverted mans attention away from the spiritual realm and brought man's attention to the carnal, material world and the pleasures it brought with it.

16Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

Exodus 16:4
4Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

Lesson I have learned from this passage. Respect and seek after God's Will and He will bless you beyond measure. But don't do His will because you want the blessings or prosperity, but out of Love for our Heavenly Father.
The Lord's response to the people's complaint was a promise of bread from heaven (manna, v. 15). God Himself would supply their food. But the Israelites’ reception of this wonderful blessing from God was already tarnished by their attitude. What could have been a joyful discovery became a bittersweet one. A certain quota meant a daily amount (v. 5). The verb translated test (with God as subject) does not mean “to tempt one to fail,” but “to prove what one really is” (Ex. 15:25; 20:20).

Isaiah 58:11
11The LORD will guide you always;he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched landand will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

We need not worry about where we will find food or water or our health. God continually looks after us in all these areas and will not fail us.

Romans 8:26
26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
We are taught to pray and given a template to go by "The Lord's Prayer". However many times we pray and don't know what we should be praying for. Isn't it comforting to know that the Spirit Himself intercedes on our behalf. It's like having a body guard always by your side.
