More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,Some manuscripts And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God whoOr works together with those who love him to bring about what is good–with those who have been called according to his purpose.
29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?36As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”Psalm 44:22

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,Or nor heavenly rulers neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I like the implied hidden meaning here. The "good" of those who love God is not neccessarily 'good' as we see it, but is whatever is in God's plan for us, because God himself is "good".

No matter what you're going through everything will work out for good. Look at my testimony over the last year. I would not be where I am today if I hadn't walked through a tough trial.

My least favorite favorite verse. It reminds me that pity parties are useless. God will use it all for good.

God often empties our hands in order to fill our hearts. Even suffering gives us a sense of appreciation which we can obtain in no other way.

It is easy to lose sight of his truth in the daily grind. Does God really care about everything that happens to you during the day? We tend to be more dependant on our "stuff" and the things that we have laid out for ourselves. Then we call it God's provision. When we are away from our comforts, like in a two thirds world country, then we can truly see if we believe this verse or not.

#4 trait is love, I marked this one because I already know that the love of God was his son to die in our place for our sins.

Anytime we can't understand what's happening to us, and we've sought the Lord and are in a right relationship with him, we must rest in His promises.

In this it is saying that all things work for the better and are successful to those who follow God's leading and love God.

This goes well with 1 Corinthians 13:4 'Love suffers long and is kind'. We often don't know or understand Gods purpose, and somethings what happens is hard to understand or work through. But in the end - God's purpose has a positive outcome.

If you're a Christian and love God, He'll do good things for you, and this also has to do with God's will for you. He put you on this wonderful planet for a reason and so you could fulfill His will for you.

November 7, 2007 The Undetected Sacredness of Circumstances We know that all things work together for good to those who love God . . . Romans 8:28 The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance. God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you can’t understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit in you. Never put yourself in front of your circumstances and say, "I’m going to be my own providence here; I will watch this closely, or protect myself from that." All your circumstances are in the hand of God, and therefore you don’t ever have to think they are unnatural or unique. Your part in intercessory prayer is not to agonize over how to intercede, but to use the everyday circumstances and people God puts around you by His providence to bring them before His throne, and to allow the Spirit in you the opportunity to intercede for them. In this way God is going to touch the whole world with His saints. Am I making the Holy Spirit’s work difficult by being vague and unsure, or by trying to do His work for Him? I must do the human side of intercession— utilizing the circumstances in which I find myself and the people who surround me. I must keep my conscious life as a sacred place for the Holy Spirit. Then as I lift different ones to God through prayer, the Holy Spirit intercedes for them. Your intercessions can never be mine, and my intercessions can never be yours, ". . . but the Spirit Himself makes intercession" in each of our lives ( Romans 8:26 ). And without that intercession, the lives of others would be left in poverty and in ruin Final Thought: As intercessors we must always remain available to be used by the Holy Spirit, remembering that, “He every makes intercession for us all”. To try and intercede without him would be like trying to breathe without lungs, or walk without feet and legs; so it would be should we try to intercede without the leading of the Holy Spirit. Always invite rather insist that He the Holy Spirit joins you when you pray, He will always be a welcomed companion to join you in prayer and intercession for those whom you interceder. He’s always looking for someone to stand in the gap and intercede for mankind and this world we live in. What an honor it is to be not just willing but chosen by Him for such a wonderful task and service. Holy Spirit here am I use me as you will… but be advised He will, are you truly ready? Only you know for sure. Keep in mind: “The poor have a better relish of their enjoyments, and are often more thankful for them, than the rich. In like manner the proud and self-sufficient disdain the gospel; but those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, find comfort from the meanest book or sermon that testifies of Christ Jesus.” (Pr 27:8) Be blessed today and always, Love Mardina

Suffering for the Christian is to be understood not only in light of eternity, but also in light of an eternal and omnipotent God. The sole source of our hope comes from our union with God through the Holy Spirit, and Paul has focused on this important doctrine all throughout the chapter. The Spirit is actively leading us away from sin and toward holiness, life, and peace by renewing our minds (vv.5-6); He is assuring us of our new identity as adopted children of God (v. 16); and He is continually interceding for us such that God is intimately and closely involved with our everyday struggles, desires, and needs (vv. 26-27). This Spirit-leading was shown most clearly in Jesus's earthly life and ministry, who suffered because he would not be mastered by sin, Satan, or the world; and yet now Jesus reigns as King of Kings! Paul has given us a wide-angle view of God's sovereign plan to ensure our complete redemption, even working for our good in the suffering that will come upon us because of our identification with our Lord. But God is not blind to this! Indeed, we can know very little of what awaits us, how we will respond or survive the trials of life. How humbling and amazing to think that God called us to enter the path of life with every aspect already covered, even leading us through the worst suffering and gravest temptations by the power of the Spirit of Christ reviving us day by day. Praise God in His wisdom and for His perfect provision!

Romans 8:26-28: (Start point- Type: Romans 8:26 Click: “Search Bible”) No where in this Scripture does it support the idea that everything that happens in our lives is God’s will. There are the wills of other spirits (Satanic & human) to contend with in our lives (2 Corinthians 4:4). This Scripture does teach, however, that if we love God and are called according to His purpose (All Christians have a ministry to something in the Body of Christ & in this world, Ephesians 4:15-16) then all things can work together for good and the good of our callings. When all that the world can give you is lemons, God can make lemonade. (Psalm 34:19; John 15:18-21; 1 Corinthians 10:12-15; James 1:14-17)

This verse says that all things work together for good not that everything that happens will appear as good. God has eternity in mind, and although we may not understand at the time, "bad" things that happen to us are called good by this verse.

Verses 28-29 For those, His chosen people, whom He DID choose, He also DID predetermine that they would be born again, conforming them to the image of His Son. In addition to this, those whom He DID regenerate, conforming them to be in the image of His Son, He also extended the liberty of becoming sons of God (1 John 1:13): and to those whom He gave the liberty to become the Sons of God, He also declared to be as they ought to be (on the straight and narrow path for instance); those whom He rendered to be righteous, He also adorned with glory (2 Thessalonians 1:12). Note: the word “did” means to execute, accomplish, finish, complete.
